Styrene acrylonitrile (SAN) processing aids play an important role in materials such as ABS, ASA, ABS/PC alloys, and heat-resistant PVC. The core advantage of such additives lies in their excellent compatibility with styrene based resins such as ABS and ASA, which can significantly improve the processing flowability and melt strength of materials, thereby optimizing the stability of injection molding or extrusion processes. In ABS/PC alloys, SAN type additives can effectively regulate the compatibility between the two phases, reduce phase separation, and improve the mechanical properties and surface quality of the alloy. For PVC products with high heat resistance requirements, these additives can not only promote melting uniformity, but also assist in improving the heat-resistant deformation temperature of the product through their rigid molecular structure.

In addition, SAN processing aids also have the following advantages:

1. Processing optimization - reduce melt viscosity, decrease energy consumption, and avoid surface defects such as shark skin;

2. Performance balance - while improving fluidity, it does not significantly affect the impact resistance or rigidity of the material;

3. Stability enhancement - Some SAN additives containing nitrile groups can also work synergistically with PVC stabilizers to delay material thermal degradation.

This type of additive is particularly suitable for high-end application scenarios such as electronic and electrical casings, automotive interior parts, and heat-resistant PVC building materials that require complex molding or thin-walled design.
